10: Los Angeles Angels

The Los Angeles Angels have roared back into contention in 2015 and as such, they came into the deadline in a much different position than they would have had the deadline been a month earlier. A strong comeback season from Albert Pujols and another MVP campaign from Mike Trout have been key.

The Angels came into the deadline with a large issue in their outfield and many wondered if they would add a bigger piece like Cespedes. Instead, Bill Stoneman played it cool and used a mediocre farm system as best he could to add three different stop-gaps. He’s playing the odds that one of the three will seize a permanent spot in the order or at the very worst they all couple together to become give them at least a win or two more.

Really would have liked to see the the Angels add a starter to the rotation, but given the depth of their system and the fact that Jered Weaver is likely back soon, the team could only do so much.
