Top 30 PPR Tight Ends

Here are my top 30 PPR Tight Ends for this season. These rankings should be used as a guide for your fantasy drafts. Feel free to select the tight end that you are higher on.

This year I’m trying to minimize the risk that I’m taking in drafts, and I believe that reflects in my rankings by giving the safer, more dependable players the nod over unproven risky players. During the latter portion of the rankings I take more shots on younger, unproven, and highly athletic tight ends in hopes that I can cash in on their upside. These rankings aren’t made in stone. I’m constantly evaluating players and my feeling towards certain players can move up and down like the stock market the more I do my research. Feel free to follow me on Twitter @bmatz08 for 24/7 fantasy advice.

Rob Gronkowski New England Patriots

Gronk is in a class by himself. He’s worth drafting in the first round of your fantasy drafts, and if he falls into the 2nd round, consider him a steal. He creates a positional advantage for you at tight end because you will be receiving an elevation in production compared to other tight ends being started in your league. He is easily my number one tight end this season.

Jordan Cameron Miami Dolphins

Ryan Tannehill is an advocate of heavily targeting the intermediate sectors of the field, and Cameron is going to benefit from this. Cameron is a highly athletic tight end who can stretch the seam, and is a mis-match nightmare for linebackers. He is going to be open often in the middle of the field, and I expect Tannehill to be looking his way often.

Kyle Rudolph Minnesota Vikings

Rudolph is falling late in drafts due to him missing most of last season due to injuries. You can definitetly cash in on him due to the recent bias by drafting Rudolph late in your draft. The Vikings have a lot of positive things going for them; Peterson is back, Bridgewater is developing, and they will have Mike Wallace to stretch the field. Rudolph is going to produce this season.

Ladarius Green/ Antonio Gates San Diego Chargers

Green is going to be available late in your fantasy drafts, and you will have the ability to pick Gates off waivers during the middle of the season. I’m skeptical of the situation in San Diego, are the Gates targets going to go to Green during the first four weeks, or are they going to be distributed between Keenan Allen and Stevie Johnson? On the flip side, Green is highly athletic and could blow up.
