Cam Newton showed off his amazing pass-catching skills with one hand just goofing around in practice on Thursday

We’re all very well aware that Cam Newton is one of the most dynamic quarterbacks in the entire NFL, he even has the fat new contract to prove that. His versatile skills are what has made him one of the faces of the league in his first few seasons. But, just how far do those skills stretch? If need be, could Newton make an easy transition to wide receiver if he ever had to?

If what he did just goofing around in practice on Thursday was any indication, then yes, he could probably make that transition rather smoothly.

While he was on the practice field as he and the Panthers get set for the upcoming season, Newton decided that he would give us all his best Odell Beckham Jr. impression, snagging the ball out of the air with ease — one-handed.

All joking aside for a second, the man is just an athletic freak. That being said, it’s really no surprise that he can pull something like this off. Heck, stick the man on the basketball court and I’m sure he’d dazzle us all with those skills as well.

How much would you wager on Newton somehow making a catch like this for a touchdown on a trick play at least once in his career?
