There was something amazing that happened at the Reds game Thursday night and it had nothing to do with baseball

With the terrible year they’re having, not much good really happens at Cincinnati Reds games these days. 20 games out of first place, the fans in attendance at the Great American Ballpark aren’t really that entertained all the time with what’s going on on the field.

Well, that changed just a little bit on Thursday night. Although, it didn’t really have much to do with anything that the Reds did on the field, but it was still pretty awesome nonetheless.

Sean McCarthy, a strongman competitor, took to the field in front of the crowd on Thursday night and he made America proud. He went out there and he did the most American thing ever — he broke the washing machine throw record.

Yes, this is a record that actually exists and coming into Thursday night it was a little over 13 feet. Well, with everyone cheering him on, McCarthy launched a washing machine an amazing 15 feet, nine inches.

Well, that’s just freakish. I personally have never seen anyone throw a washing machine before, and I have to admit, that was pretty awesome.

Surely Reds fans would take the team actually being good over this, but hey, we can’t always get what we want.
