Orlando Magic 2015-16 NBA Schedule
By Josh Hill
The NBA season is right around the corner, and the Orlando Magic know who they have to prepare for on their 2015-16 schedule.
There are tiers to the NBA when it comes to teams who are contending, ready to contend, might contend and those who are a few years off. The Orlando Magic sit firmly between the tiers of teams who might contend and are a few years off, and this season is going to be telling as to where they will be from this point on.
Orlando is one of many teams stacked with raw, young talent that could develop quicker than we thought. There’s guard Elfrid Payton, shooter Victor Oladipo and big man Aaron Gordon who could form a Big 3 in Orlando that becomes something special in the future. Add into that rookie Mario Hezonja and all of a sudden the Magic look like a really solid team as far as their core is concerned.
That’s where the coaching of Scott Skiles is going to come into play. After a year off from coaching, Skiles is back and ready to coach the Magic to prominence — as least, that’s the plan. He was chosen over Tom Thibodeau to lead the team, and there is a lot of pressure to make sure the young core of the Magic doesn’t regress or lose a step in their development.
Magic fans will be glued to the schedule in the coming months, breaking down which games will be wins and which ones are going to be tough tests that will help define the young team in the months to come.
Here’s a look at the complete Orlando Magic schedule for this upcoming season:
