NASCAR Pure Michigan 400: Preview and prediction
Prediction
Brad Keselowski
Michigan International Speedway is the home track for Wolverine State native Brad Keselowski. It just so happens that he has yet to pick up a win at the track he calls home in front of his friends and family. While all eyes have been on another Team Penske driver, Joey Logano, Keselowski deserves some looks of his own after some recently strong runs.
With Kyle Busch and Joey Logano winning a lot of races lately, there has been a trend of drivers winning at tracks they had previously yet to claim. That’s why this week is perfectly set up for Keselowski to continue the trend and finally pick up a win at the Pure Michigan 400.
Keselowski finished sixth earlier in the year at Michigan in a race that came to an end early because of rain. There’s no telling what he would have done in a full contest, but Keselowski is always motivated when he’s at home, and this Sunday.
Seeing his teammate Joey Logano get all the attention in recent weeks should be enough motivation for Keselowski to join him and grab a win of his own. The crowd will certainly be behind the No. 2 this weekend, and Keselowski will pull it off as he finally adds that home win to his accomplished resume.
It will be yet another party for Team Penske after the race this Sunday.
