NFL 2015: Ranking the 32 offenses
31. Cleveland Browns
It’s 3rd and 5 in the fourth quarter, and the Cleveland Browns need a major conversion. Who is throwing the ball, and who is the target? If it is a run play, who the heck is carrying the ball? Cleveland has to have the worst offensive personnel of any team in the league, and that is with a revamped receiving corps.
Dwayne Bowe and Brian Hartline were brought in to provide some kind of spark on the outside with Andrew Hawkins and Taylor Gabriel, but does that group really have anybody in it who can crack 800 yards? Then you factor in that either Josh McCown and Johnny Manziel are throwing the ball, and you really begin to understand the trouble brewing by Lake Erie.
Cleveland has a good defense, and that is a great thing, because this offense will struggle to score more than 14 points many games. In the NFL, you need a player who you can rely on in a critical moment. The Browns have nobody to turn to with a mediocre stable of receivers, a bad group of running backs led by Terrance West, and a lackluster pair of quarterbacks.
