2 GB AL Wild Card. Minnesota Twins. 17. player. 2. . 58-58, 12 GB AL Central

It’s been an unexpectedly exciting season for the Minnesota Twins, but the club that spent the first four months of the season as one of the best teams in baseball is now hovering around the .500 mark and is close to teetering out of the American League Wild Card race. But there’s still hope, and even through the Twins aren’t interested in trading away any of their top prospects for a rental, they would probably be willing to part with some of their second or third tier guys for a shot at the postseason in 2015.

In addition to catcher, the Twins need bullpen help. San Diego has a few arms available, including setup man Joaquin Benoit, who is familiar with the American League Central from his time with the Detroit Tigers. Milwaukee left-hander Will Smith could be another option.
