As your fantasy football draft winds down before you get to adding your kicker and team defense, you may be looking for some wide receiver depth. While you hopefully have well-stocked the top of your depth char with some great options, it’s always great to get a late-round flier who immediately produces and can either be used in a trade or in case one of your starting fantasy football WR goes down.  In this post, you’ll find ten of my favorite late-round sleepers at fantasy football WR who should produce solid numbers despite going outside of the top 50 WR off the board in most drafts.

More from Carolina Panthers

While there are many things to consider when selecting your sleeper WR, one of the key things that I look for is what receivers are going to get consistent targets.  No matter how talented a receiver may be, he can’t produce if the ball doesn’t get thrown his way. Depth options I usually consider are one of the options in their teams passing attack which gives them at least the potential to succeed in any given week.

The receivers on the list on the following slides are high-risk for one reason or another which has caused their stock to drop to the point where they aren’t being drafted in the top 50 receivers off the board. For most leagues, that means they’ll be around as the draft is winding down and can be had at a very cheap cost. None of them are sure-fire pick, but they do have upside that you should consider at the end of your fantasy football drafts.

A quick note on Eddie Royal of the Bears who isn’t on this list even though he’s still averaging the 69th receiver off the board to start this week.  Royal is know a “hot” sleeper and will shoot up draft boards after this weekend’s news about Kevin White and the continued struggle of Alshon Jeffery to stay healthy. While Royal will definitely have some serious value, he isn’t a late-round sleeper anymore since in most drafts he’ll be gone way before the late rounds.

One of the keys to successfully finding sleepers is finding them at the right price. I’m not suggesting that the players on the following slides should be taken in the top 40 receivers.  If you over-reach for them early, they can’t provide you the value return that they offer in the late rounds. If you draft a player too early, they’re not a sleeper any more and can instead turn into a bust that hurts your team throughout the season.

That being the case, these fantasy football WR have a chance to produce good value if you get them late enough to provide value. If you’re in the closing rounds of your draft, here are ten receivers who have a chance at getting targets and producing nice fantasy numbers this season.
