For years Charles Barkley has been the laughing stock of the NBA community thanks to what could be the worst golf swing in the history of ever. That was until yesterday when video surfaced of retired big man Jason Collins producing a swing that very well may be worse than Barkley.

While I am not at all a golf expert, I can tell that this just isn’t good. Golf swings are supposed to be smooth and one motion, not whatever that was Collins was doing.

That said, Collins may have an excuse as he responded to some questioning of his swing on Twitter.

To be fair to Collins, the explanation could very well be true. I would imagine that not many rental clubs are made for seven-footers which could have put Collins at a disadvantage to start with. Add to that a potential bad hip and back and suddenly his movement is compromised enough that there is no way that he could produce a smooth swing with a short club.

Really the only way that Collins could fix this is to get out on a good day with his own clubs and get us a video of his real swing. If it looks better than this his excuses are valid, if not we may have to get Collins and Barkley side-to-side in some type of swing off to determine the worst golf swing in the world.
