New York Giants defensive end Jason Pierre-Paul jokes about his missing finger on Twitter.

The big story of the offseason not surrounding deflated footballs was the fireworks accidents during the Fourth of July weekend which impacted two NFL players and franchises. New York Giants defensive end Jason Pierre-Paul was arguably the more notable of the two, losing a finger.

While Giants fans and brass weren’t thrilled to hear it, Pierre-Paul seems to be coming to terms with it. He even made light of his injury on Twitter.

First it started with a tweet meant to be uplifting and positive.

When called about his typo for using “accept” instead of “except,” Pierre-Paul jokingly blamed it on his missing finger.
