Chicago Bulls superstar Derrick Rose is reportedly being sued for drugging and raping an ex-girlfriend
Chicago Bulls point guard Derrick Rose is being sued for drugging and raping an ex-girlfriend, according to a report from TMZ Sports.
The woman that is bringing the lawsuit against Rose claims that the two dated between 2011 and 2013, and during that time Rose invited her to his Beverly Hills home where he drugged her drink with the intention of raping her. She managed to escape the house, but she claims that Rose and his friends later on broke into her apartment and raped her.
As for why she’s waited this long to bring the lawsuit to Rose, she simply proclaimed that she was ashamed and embarrassed, as well as noting that she was afraid of how her family would take it.
Should these allegations hold any sort of validity, then this would be a disturbing turn of events for one of the best players in the NBA. TMZ did also reach out to Rose’s attorney, but they were not able to get in touch with him.
Rose has been with the Bulls since the 2008 season and in that time he has quickly become one of the more notable faces in the NBA.
