Isaiah Thomas is diminutive for an NBA player, listed at just 5’9″. Unlike what we saw the other night with fellow tiny man J.J. Barea, though, sometimes the smaller guys end up on the fun side of highlights. This is one of those times.

Friday evening, the Seattle Pro-Am team took on a team of players from Los Angeles’ Drew League in an exhibition game. On this play, 6’8″ Trevor Ariza thought he was home free for an easy slam along the baseline. Unfortunately for Ariza, Isaiah had other ideas (via morehomes):

GOOD LAWD. Isaiah got UP there. Even though this isn’t a real NBA game, I think this means Trevor Ariza has to retire now. It’s been a nice career, Trevor.

Also, bonus points to Spencer Hawes and his man bun for that great close-out. 2013-14 James Harden thinks that was a wonderful defensive play.
