FanDuel Picks For September 2

More from DFS

Welcome back to the best place to get fantasy sports advice across multiple sports. Today I am going to give you my best picks and choices for your FanDuel lineups that I can. My advice is based purely on mathematical and statistical analysis and I try to avoid using player biases and so forth.

NOTE: these FanDuel picks are based solely on statistics. Some players have never faced their opponents, or have very little experience against them. I am not saying that none of those are good picks. This is based on statistical analysis only. If you have a gut feeling, then by all means, follow that. This is not an exact science.

Here are my FanDuel picks for September 2:

  • 6 players to avoid at your Fantasy Football draftNFL Mocks
  • Jose Altuve, Astros ($4,000): Jose Altuve is smoking hot right now. He is playing great and he is a fantastic option for the game on 9-2. He has a great record against Taijuan Walker and comes loaded with upside. For his career against Walker, Altuve has gone 6/16 with a home run, three RBI and two stolen bases. Get him active across all your fantasy formats.

Jean Segura, Brewers ($2,400): Segura has not had the greatest season so far, but he has been decent lately. He may not be a guy you want to roster in your standard fantasy league, but he is a guy who is worthy in a daily fantasy league for 9-2. He has a great mark against Jeff Locke and should be read for a solid day. Over his career against Locke, he is 8/26 with a home run, two RBI and a stolen base.

    Next: FanDuel Outfield Hitter Options

Aug 31, 2015; Los Angeles, CA, USA; San Francisco Giants right fielder Marlon Byrd (6) reacts to striking out during the fourteenth inning against the Los Angeles Dodgers at Dodger Stadium. Mandatory Credit: Richard Mackson-USA TODAY Sports

    Outfield Hitter Options:

Franklin Gutierrez, Mariners ($3,600): Gutierrez has an incredibly hot month and will look to continue to do so in September as he squares off with a very familiar face. He will line up with Scott Kazmir and has a great record over his career at 9/21 with three home runs and five RBI.

Marlon Byrd, Giants ($3,600): Byrd has been on a bit of a tear here lately. he has reached base safely in six of his last seven tilts and will be trying to extend this tear. Odds are that he will do well on 9-2 as he faces off with Clayton Kershaw. Despite Kershaw’s dominance, Byrd has always had success with hitting six out of 14 at-bats.

    Next: FanDuel Bonus Hitter Options

Aug 30, 2015; Milwaukee, WI, USA; Milwaukee Brewers catcher Jonathan Lucroy (20) drives in a run with a base hit in the third inning against the Cincinnati Reds at Miller Park. Mandatory Credit: Benny Sieu-USA TODAY Sports

    Bonus Hitter Options:

    Catcher:

Jonathan Lucroy, Brewers ($3,400): Lucroy is a little bit expensive for a catcher, but I believe he should be worth every penny. He is playing very well right now and has had great success against Locke. Over his career he has a .381 average with a home run and four RBI and a stolen base.

Ian Kinsler, Tigers ($4,100): Kinsler has been having his usual season and as usual will be a solid option across all formats on 9-2. He is pretty hot right now and has had some decent success Yordano Ventura with a 5/11 mark and three RBI.

As always we thank you for stopping by and wish you FanDuelers the best of luck!
