Houston Texans owner Bob McNair believed all parties in Deflate-Gate share a portion of the blame for the escalation of the whole situation.

As the story that is Deflate-Gate continues to rear its head as the 2015 NFL Season draws near, just about everyone associated with the league has shared their opinion on the situation.

The latest to discuss the situation between the NFL, New England Patriots and Tom Brady, is Houston Texans owner Bob McNair. McNair, who was a guest on Texans Radio in Houston, gave his thought’s on the league’s never-ending scandal.

McNair believes that all parties share an equal part in the escalation of the entire situation and what has unfolded.

"“I think [The NFL] could have handled it better, the Patriots could have handled it better, Brady could have handled it better,” McNair said."

McNair said on the show that if Brady would have just came out right away and said he likes the footballs a certain way, then this whole thing would have gone away right away and it wouldn’t have devolved into the mess that it’s become.

"“What escalated the whole thing is, Brady and the Patriots were going to cooperate fully, and then when it came down to it, they didn’t,” McNair told Meltser and Payne. “That’s what really upset the commissioner.”"

Their is credence to what McNair says, as he has had one of the cleanest and incident-free teams since the Texans came into the league. Houston has had the fewest arrests of any team and have been one of the most respectable franchises off the field.

He’s not the first one to suggest that if Brady had come out right away that none of this would have happened, and that’s slowly becoming the prevailing thought amongst many. It’s a situation that’s become a lot more than it should have, and because of it, the certainty of whether or not Brady will play in the opener is up in the air as they go through the court process. He’s currently slated to miss the first four games for suspension, but there’s a chance he could play right away, as a judge is supposed to hand down a ruling before Friday.

Brady is one of the star players of the league, and it hurts the brand when he isn’t out there. McNair, who has a star player of his own in J.J. Watt, mentioned that he thinks if Watt was in Brady’s situation, Watt would be cooperative with investigators and this whole situation would have never happened.

"“I think if it was J.J. Watt, I think he would have been cooperative and it wouldn’t be a question,” McNair said. “I don’t think J.J. would destroy his cell phone."

As the story looks like it’s finally nearing it’s end, it’s clear that members of the league are tired of the situation and everyone is ready for the final resolution to what has become one of the most unnecessarily drawn out controversies in NFL history.

If McNair’s words are shared by others as well, then it’s apparent that everyone has a hand in this situation becoming the unmitigated mess that it is.
