Buccaneers’ Khaseem Greene rips off 98-yard pick six (Video)

Buccaneers linebacker Khaseem Greene had a pretty nice pick-six on Thursday night
The last week of the NFL preseason isn’t known for excitement. The starters are usually sitting out while the players on the field appear less than focused on football.
Hark! Out of the darkness and pointlessness, Tampa Bay Buccaneers linebacker Khaseem Greene made an exciting play Thursday night, picking off Miami Dolphins quarterback McLeod Bethel-Thompson with around six minutes left in the third quarter. Interceptions aren’t terribly unusual, but what was unique about this play was that he ran it back 98 yards for a touchdown. Greene had an entourage that made several critical blocks as they escorted him down the field into the end zone.
Greene was a 2013 fourth-round draft pick out of Rutgers who played for the Chicago Bears his first two years in the NFL. Ironically, a weakness in his NFL draft report was “hands for the interception are only adequate.” Clearly on Thursday night his hands were good enough to generate a 98-yard pick six.
Check out the beautiful play for yourself and marvel at the beauty of a near 100-yard return:
