Brian Hartline made Johnny Manziel look good by hauling in this incredible catch.

Regardless of whether it was Josh McCown or Johnny Manziel at quarterback for the Cleveland Browns for the 2015 NFL season, the team’s biggest issue in terms of offense was its lack of talent at wide receiver. However, new Browns receiver Brian Hartline had something to say about that whole lack of talent thing in Week 1.

After McCown had left the game and Manziel took over quarterback duties, the Browns’ offense was moving solidly. On Manziel’s second drive of the game after coming off of the bench, Hartline made an absolutely ridiculous one-handed grab while falling to the ground to help Manziel look good and keep the drive alive.

At least 80 percent of wide receivers in the league who are on their knees and falling down aren’t going to make a real effort to catch that ball. Much less are they going to be able to stick their hand out and actually haul the throw in for a catch. That’s incredible work from Hartline.

It’s obviously only Week 1, but Hartline is the early leader in the catch of the year rankings.
