Whether your fantasy football season started flying as high as the Patriots and Packers or you had big letdowns like the Colts and Lions, there is still plenty of time to get your team turned around and headed to the playoffs.  One of the keys to any successful fantasy football season is making the right pickups along the way. To help you pinpoint the right players to get on your roster, check out my top ten pickups from the fantasy football waiver wire which you can find each Tuesday morning throughout the season right here on Fansided.

More from Arizona Cardinals

Last season, fantasy football difference-makers like Odell Beckham Jr., Justin Forsett, Julian Edelman, and Jeremy Hill started the season on most leagues’ waiver wires and were there for the taking early in the season.  If you want to grab the impact players that emerge throughout the season, it’s vital that you stay active in fine-tuning your roster throughout the season if you expect to claim your championship at the end of the year.

In last week’s post, I highlighted Stevie Johnson, Carson Palmer, Tyler Eifert, James Jones, and Dion Lewis who all posted nice weeks in week 1.  Hopefully you were able to grab some of them before the season started, but they are all back on our list this week since they’re still owned in less than half of ESPN leagues. Ownership percentages included in parentheses with each pick are ESPN ownership as of roster lock for week 1.

Each week in my top ten, I include at least one wide receiver, one tight end, one quarterback, one running back, and one team defense.  If you are looking for deep league pickups beyond the top 10, check out the final slide of this post and also make sure to come back throughout the rest of the week as I focus on the top options available at each position.

To find all Fansided’s fantasy football coverage, check out our fantasy football hub where all our new posts will appear throughout the rest of the week.  If you have questions for me, you can always find me on Twitter @FansidedFantasy where I do my best to keep you up to date on all the fantasy sports relevant news and happenings.

Make sure to consider your team’s specific needs as you add players from the fantasy football waiver wire. The players are listed in the general order I would pick them up, but it’s not a strict top ten ranking since it depends on what your team needs are at this point in the season and how your league sets up roster structure.

With those preliminary thoughts out of the way, let’s jump right into this week’s top ten options from the fantasy football waiver wire.
