The Kansas City Chiefs are looking good on Thursday Night Football against the Denver Broncos at Arrowhead Stadium. In the second quarter, the Chiefs have scored two touchdowns in two minutes and 33 seconds, with the second coming on a Marcus Peters interception returned for a touchdown.

Peyton Manning was looking for Demaryius Thomas on third down near midfield and felt pressure before throwing too far inside. The first-round pick out of the University of Washington was able to undercut the route and caught the football, running up the far sideline with a 55-yard touchdown.

For Peters, it is his second interception in as many games. Peters has looked incredible throughout training camp and into the preseason, and now his talents are translating into the regular season. Peters was a great fit for the Chiefs because he is a large, physical corner who can play in press coverage. Peters has been replacing veteran Sean Smith as a starter, who was suspended for three games because of a guilty plea in his DUI case.

At this point, it appears Peters will be staying on the field while Jamell Fleming or Phillip Gaines goes to the bench. Peters has simply been too much of a playmaker to take off the field, especially with the Kansas City defensive backs only recording six interceptions throughout 2014, the lowest total in the NFL.

Kansas City is trying to beat the Broncos for the first time since Manning came to Denver in the 2012 offseason. The Broncos came into Arrowhead Stadium last year and beat the Chiefs 29-16 on Sunday Night Football.
