Peyton Manning responds to interception with touchdown to Emmanuel Sanders
After what was looking like a brutal first half against the Kansas City Chiefs, Denver Broncos‘ Peyton Manning responded with a touchdown pass to Emmanuel Sanders.
Peyton Manning isn’t having his best game, and as a result, everyone is skewering the legendary quarterback as if his career is done. After throwing a pick-6 to Marcus Peters and putting the Broncos in a 14-0 hole, Manning led a drive of his own that was reminiscent of the old Peyton Manning.
Cold and calculating, Manning led the Broncos on an 80-yard drive as he carved up the middle of the field as the Chiefs failed to get pressure on the drive. His response to the interception came when he found receiver Emmanuel Sanders for a 16-yard touchdown to put the Broncos within seven.
It’s no secret that since the end of last season and the beginning of this one, Manning has not looked his best at all and has been struggling. However, just as good quarterbacks do, they tend to respond with big plays and that’s what Manning did as he found his favorite target Emmanuel Sanders for a touchdown.
He may have thrown an ugly pick and look like he’s on his way out as a quarterback, but Peyton isn’t going to go down without a fight.
