The Oakland Raiders pulled off a stunning upset on Sunday afternoon, beating the Baltimore Ravens 37-33 at O.co Coliseum. Oakland was led by Derek Carr, who hit receiver Seth Roberts with a 12-yard touchdown pass with 26 seconds remaining in the fourth quarter. The win puts Oakland at 1-1 and in a three-way tie for second place in the AFC West. Meanwhile, Baltimore is in the cellar of the AFC North at 0-2. For Roberts, it was his fourth career catch.

Carr was simply sublime, throwing for a career-high 351 yards with three touchdowns and one interception. Carr looks like a quarterback who is ready to emerge as a solid option for years to come, especially with weapons such as Michael Crabtree and Amari Cooper around him. Crabtree and Cooper combined for 220 yards and a pair of touchdowns, continually torching the Ravens for large gains.

While the story of the game is about the Raiders coming back in the final moments to pull off the upset, the larger story is really Baltimore. Some, including Peter King of Sports Illustrated, picked the Ravens to reach the Super Bowl. Currently, Baltimore looks like a team without much punch on offense and a defense that has few playmakers. Last week, the Ravens sustained a crushing blow when outside linebacker Terrell Suggs blew out his Achilles, putting him out for the season.

Baltimore faces nothing short of a must-win in Week 3 against the Cincinnati Bengals in its home-opener at M&T Bank Stadium. If the Ravens lose to the Bengals, they would be 0-3 and in a dark, deep hole.
