The San Francisco 49ers got a huge 75-yard touchdown reception from wide receiver Torrey Smith.
Wide receiver Torrey Smith has moved west, leaving the Baltimore Ravens for the San Francisco 49ers. Smith is making his impact felt with his new team, catching a 75-yard touchdown reception in the second week of the NFL season.
The 49ers are getting decimated by the offensively talented Pittsburgh Steelers on Sunday, so the score is a bit too little, too late. Still it has to be reassuring that Smith’s deep threat ability has come with him to the west coast.
Smith has four other catches for 40 yards so far in the game, giving him five receptions for 115 yards and a touchdown. His solid performance is being outshined by Antonio Brown’s for the Steelers, who has nine receptions for 195 yards and a touchdown. His long is 59-yards, so Smith holds the edge there.
