Jets at Colts: Full highlights and final score
The New York Jets improved to 2-0 on Monday Night Football, beating the Indianapolis Colts, 20-7, in front of a stunned, sold-out crowd at Lucas Oil Stadium. New York was able to force five turnovers against Andrew Luck and the Colts, recovering two fumbles and forcing three interceptions.
Luck was atrocious and under duress all night, completing 21-of-37 attempts for 250 yards with one touchdown, a fumble and three interceptions. The All-Pro was knocked around despite not being sacked, with New York head coach Todd Bowles bringing a wide variety of blitzes and stunts.
Highlights
Three Stars
1. Darrelle Revis
Revis was back in name and deed against the Colts, recovering a pair of fumbles and notching an interception. Revis was all over the field on Monday night, thwarting multiple throws down the field by Luck. With Antonio Cromartie and Revis on the corners, New York is brutal to throw against.
2. Brandon Marshall
Marshall caught a touchdown pass in his Jets debut, and he continued to dominate in Week 2. Marshall was fairly quiet when Vontae Davis was covering him, but when Davis went down in the second quarter with an apparent head injury, Marshall went to work. Marshall caught seven passes for 101 yards and a touchdown.
3. Donte Moncrief
Moncrief was the only receiver who could get going for Indianapolis. The Colts could not get much offense on track throughout the night, but the second-year man caught seven passes for a game-high 122 yards with a touchdown on eight targets. Moncrief had 25 more receiving yards than Andre Johnson, Phillip Dorsett and T.Y. Hilton combined.
Odds
Indianapolis was favored by a touchdown and did not cover the spread.
Next week
The Colts will be at LP Field on Sunday to play against the Tennessee Titans, while the Jets host the Philadelphia Eagles at MetLife Stadium.
