WFAN Craig Carton reports the NFL still believes that Tom Brady will serve a four game suspension this season.

Tom Brady has been annihilating opponents so far this season as a form of payback for the league handing him a 4 game suspension for his role in ‘deflategate’ last season. Even though Judge Richard Berman overturned Brady’s four game suspension, the NFL still believes he will serve that sentence this season, according to WFAN host Craig Carton.

"On Friday’s “Boomer and Carton” program, WFAN host Craig Carton said that he was with a “very influential person in the NFL” on Thursday. Carton said the person told him “there’s no doubt in his mind” that Brady will serve a four-game suspension this season after the NFL’s appeal is heard."

They just won’t give up. The NFL is currently waiting to hear back on their appeal process and while they wait, they apparently already believe it’s done. If they win their appeal, the four game suspension is back on – that is, until Brady appeals it again.

Brady currently ranks fourth in the league in QBR with 80.8. His 754 passing yards have him in second place behind Eli Manning, who has already played his week 3 game, and he’s tied for the league leader in touchdown passes with Carson Palmer. He currently has 0 interceptions.

The way Brady and the Patriots have been playing, it won’t just be the teams in the games he would’ve missed for the suspension that are getting nervous. Every team in the NFL is open game for him right now. Bold move, NFL. Let’s see if it pays off.
