Cleveland Browns part ways with Andy Moeller

The coach accused of strangling his girlfriend is no longer with the beleaguered Cleveleand Browns.
Cleveland Browns offensive line coach Andy Moeller was suspended indefinitely by the Cleveland Browns before the start of the 2015 season after allegations he strangled his fiance.
Today the Browns announced that the organization has parted ways with Moeller.
This was not the first time Moeller has found himself in legal trouble. As the offensive line coach for the Baltimore Ravens, Moeller found himself in hot water after a DUI arrest in 2011. He was suspended for the first two games of that year’s season.
Though Moeller has reportedly had four run-ins with the law for alcohol-related incidents, domestic violence was the source of the suspension with the Browns. In September, his fiance’ called 911, distraught that Moeller had attempted to strangle her at his home in Berea, Ohio. She also revealed during the call that it was not the first time he had been violent with her.
The Browns don’t seem to have problems giving players second and third chances, but this time a coach was the beneficiary of the benefit of the doubt, and a coach who let the team down.
Assistant offensive line coach George DeLeone has taken over as offensive line coach in the wake of this personnel change.
