It seems like we’re getting new uniform updates daily. It’s getting hard to keep up with at this point. Fortunately, we here at Friendly Bounce dot com have you covered. The Washington Wizards are the latest team to join the alternate uniform fiesta, as they showed off the new “Baltimore Pride” kits they’ll sport for select games this season.

These are meant to pay homage to the uniforms worn by the Baltimore Bullets from 1969-73. You can see what those looked like here. The Wiz have actually worn these throwbacks fairly recently, but this is the first time they’ve altered them to incorporate the current color scheme.

Washington will don these for six games during the upcoming regular season, with the debut coming December 19th against the Hornets. I was a bit skeptical of these upon first viewing, but I’m starting to come around a bit. The red, white and blue color scheme the Wiz use is fire, so I’d say they’re a slight upgrade on the orange originals.

The downside, of course, is that they have sleeves. Ugh, sleeves.
