These female fans at the Diamondbacks and Rockies game were taking too many selfies for the announcers’ liking

Wednesday night the Arizona Diamondbacks hosted the Colorado Rockies and, let’s be honest, that’s not the most exciting sporting event at the end of September. It’s especially a little boring when you consider that neither team will be making an appearance in the playoffs soon, so fans that were in attendance needed some way to pass the time.

Well, there were a group of young females in attendance on Wednesday that found their own way to pass the time, and quite frankly, it annoyed the announcers to no end.

In the fourth inning of this one, cameras caught the group of young ladies sitting in their seats taking some selfies with their phones. Alright, actually, they were taking a lot of selfies, basically trying to see how fast their iPhone batteries could drain, for the most part. Because of this, the announcers in the booth decided they needed to give a little lecture about these darn kids these days.

They were quite offended by this taking place. They were basically making themselves the poster children for, “GET OFF MY LAWN!” Heck, at one point in the tangent, they went off about the parenting these days.

But, again, seeing where these two teams are at the end of the season here, can you blame anyone for being more enamored with their phones than what’s happening on the diamond?
