Running down the Power Rankings following Week 4 in the NFL.

The NFL is officially bananas. Think a team is good? They’re not that good. Think a team is trash? Prepare to be amazed. Outside of the Patriots and Packers (and maybe the Bengals), there is a deep separation between the top of the league and everyone else.

After whitewashing teams for the season’s first three weeks, the Arizona Cardinals were dealt their first loss by the St. Louis Rams. A Rams team, mind you, that has wins over Seattle and Arizona, but losses to the Redskins and Steelers (who played half the game without Ben Roethlisberger). Sunday’s game was the first time all season Arizona had been held under 30 points.

The Redskins and Giants are tied atop the NFC East. So, too, is Dallas, but the Cowboys are reeling without Tony Romo under center.

The worst division in football a year ago, the NFC South, boasts two teams that are undefeated and actually look really, really good. Meanwhile, Indianapolis, once expected to be a world-beater this year, eked out another unimpressive come-from-behind victory to pull to .500.

It’s been a crazy season, and Week 4 was the perfect embodiment of such – even the Bears found a way to end their game with more points than the opponent. Let’s take a gander at the NFL Power Rankings following another wild week of action.
