Kristaps Porzingis proved Knicks are an actual team by making a play (Video)

The New York Knicks are hoping to turn things around, and Kristaps Porzingis is out there making plays to ensure that happens.

It may only be the NBA preseason, but the New York Knicks are trying to do all they can as quickly as they can to bounce back from last year’s utterly disastrous season. New York was an eye sore to end all eye sores and couldn’t have gone full Knicks more than they did in the 2014-15 season. That’s all something that could be changing though, as rookie Kristaps Porzingis is already looking the part of a guy who could be the future of the franchise.

Overreaction — yes. Amazing block that may be the only thing Knicks fans get to be excited about this year — also, yes.

Now, if you’re confused by this you’re not alone. It’s hard to describe what is happening here — not from a technical standpoint but rather from a practical standpoint. Sure, it’s a basketball play and a damn good one at that, but it’s also one being made by a guy in a Knicks jersey.

That’s not something you see everyday and it’s definitely not something that usually involves the Knicks in a positive way. Yet, here we are with Kristaps making a play that confirms that the Knicks are indeed an NBA franchise and indeed capable of making plays that don’t wholly embarrass an entire fanbase.
