World Series Odds: Updated MLB Divisional Series
By Mike Dyce
Updated odds of winning the 2015 World Series with the Divisional Series field narrowed to eight teams.
On Wednesday night, the Chicago Cubs defeated the Pittsburgh Pirates to win their Wild Card Game match up and round out the field of eight teams for the Divisional Series.
The Toronto Blue Jays are still the team with the best odds, and it matches their expectations after loading up with talent at the trade deadline. NL Central rivals and Divisional Series opponents, the St. Louis Cardinals and Chicago Cubs, are the next two favorites. The Cardinals are favored at +500 and the Cubs are favored at +550 with the Kansas City Royals and Los Angeles Dodgers.
The Cubs were the National League’s second Wild Card team and are being favored over a handful of divisional champions, but they seem to be hitting their stride at the right time and gaining steam on the field and from fans.
The Texas Rangers are the least favored team with +1200 odds, and they’re a divisional champion. The Houston Astros, who finished behind the Rangers and squeaked into the playoffs with the second Wild Card berth, are favored ahead of them at +850.
Here are the updated odds, via Bovada:

- Chicago Cubs +550
- Kansas City Royals +550
- Los Angeles Dodgers +550
