The Minnesota Lynx needed the greatness of Maya Moore with the game on the line, and of course she came through

The Minnesota Lynx and Indiana Fever met on Friday night in Game 3 of the WNBA Finals, and this one was not void of the dramatics at all. Once again, we were treated to why Maya Moore is considered one of the best players on the planet.

With the clock running down in regulation, Game 3 was all tied up at 77. In a situation like that, if you’re the Lynx, you only want the ball in the hands of one woman, that being Maya Moore.

You know why? Well, because when Moore has the ball in her hands when it matters the most, this happens.

Cold-blooded! With that clock running out, Maya Moore stepped right to the side and she drained that shot to give her team the win. Again, there are very few people you want the ball in the hands of than the former UConn great. She made a name for herself in college with plays like this in crunch time and she’s doing it now at the professional level.

If the Lynx end up winning this series that they now lead 2-1, then we can look back at this as one of the most important reasons for the win.

Moore would finish this one with 24 points, seven rebounds and two steals.
