The St. Louis Cardinals gave ups five runs in the second inning of Game 2 in the NLDS, and fans weren’t pleased when the excuse was the pitcher got sick.Â
There are pitchers out there who just can’t stomach a bad start. St. Louis Cardinals starter Jaime Garcia couldn’t even stomach a bad inning, as he was yanked after the second inning for what the team described as a ‘stomach virus’.
From there, the puns and bad jokes from Cubs fans seemed endless, but the true rage was coming from the so-called best fans in baseball and Cardinals Twitter.
Jaime isn't an ace. He's not Waino. Like if he was sick, there was no need for him to be out there. His head wasn't in the game. #stlcards

"Jaime, why didn't you tell anyone you have a stomach virus?" #stlcards pic.twitter.com/8Fc38fM0DF

The Cardinals aren’t in an elimination game in Game 2, rather they’re just stumbling in a game that they need to try and put the Cubs away in. St. Louis bounced back later on in the game, but there was plenty of nail biting in St. Louis, followed up with loud cursing and things being hurled across the room.
