Dish Network made some fans more than a little upset by not carrying the Red River Rivalry

Dish Network is currently in a dispute with several local broadcasting stations around the country regarding contracts. As a result, some of those stations are currently unavailable for Dish Network subscribers. One of those stations is the ABC station,WFAA, in Dallas, TX. That’s more than a little troublesome considering that the Red River Rivalry matchup between the Texas Longhorns and Oklahoma Sooners is being broadcast on ABC.

As you might expect, this has gone over like a ton of bricks with fans trying to watch what I’m sure they consider their biggest game of the season. Some fans are just mildly disappointed by the whole thing.

Other fans are considering this the last straw and are denouncing the TV provider altogether.

However, the best of the bunch are those that are saying that Dish Network hates sports fans because of the whole debacle.

If you’re trying to compete in the crazy world of cable and satellite companies, making moves like this over contract disputes seems like a poor way to go about it. The last thing Dish Network or anyone wants is a bunch of angry Texans coming after them.
