Coming off  a huge win over Ole Miss, Florida looked to assert its dominance over a struggling Missouri team on Saturday night.

The Florida Gators are coming off their biggest win in a few years after blowing out No. 3 Ole Miss at home, and they followed that up with a solid win on the road over a decent Missouri squad. The Gators didn’t exactly put together the most exciting performance in this one, but a win is a win.

Will Grier didn’t have as great of a game as he did against Ole Miss, but it was enough to beat the Tigers in a tough road game.

Missouri is looking for any sort of confidence boost these days as none of its games have really been too impressive and the losses are devastating. This was a chance to prove that the Tigers’ preseason ranking was no fluke. However, without Maty Mauk, it was a difficult task at hand.

Three Stars

Kelvin Taylor had quite possibly his best game of the season for the Gators, racking up 99 rushing yards and two touchdowns on 28 carries.

Jalen Tabor had the most exciting play of the game, intercepting a Drew Lock pass and returning it 40 yards for a touchdown.

Will Grier wasn’t great, but he got the job done. The freshman quarterback was 20-for-33 with 208 yards and no scores.

Highlights

Odds

The Gators came in as 6.5-point favorites and the over/under was 39.5, so if you picked the Gators to cover, you were correct. The over/under was looking grim all game long after the first quarter, so hopefully you picked the under.

Next Week

Unfortunately for the Gators, the schedule doesn’t get any easier as they will be hitting the road once again to take on the No. 7 LSU Tigers. The winner of that game will likely be the only undefeated team left in the SEC.

Missouri will be traveling to Athens to take on a Georgia Bulldogs team coming off a tough week six upset loss. Again, no game is easy in SEC play, so there is no automatic win either way.
