Leonard Fournette is not only a great player on the football field, but he’s a great person off of it and here’s some proof
If there is one thing that we have learned in the college football season this year, it’s that LSU running back Leonard Fournette is one of the best players that we have seen in years. Slowly but surely, though, we’re learning that he might even be a better person off of the field. Saturday, we really learned a lot more about that.
Saturday afternoon in Baton Rouge, LSU blanked South Carolina, 45-24 and Fournette had yet another stellar game, rushing for 158 yards on 20 carries. Of course, as we know, this game was originally not supposed to be played in Baton Rouge, but the devastating flooding in South Carolina forced the change. To LSU’s credit, they did everything they could to make the Gamecocks feel at home, as if Death Valley was theirs.
Well, Fournette did something as well. In fact, he did two things. First, he prepared a speech for the folks that were affected by the tragedy. Secondly, he will be putting his jersey up for auction that he wore in the game and the money will go to the flood victims.
Wow, Fournette wrote a prepared statement of support for SCar flood victims and will auction his game jersey to raise $$. Good dude

This young man is just mature beyond his years and these were just some magnificent gestures on his part. Fournette knows what these folks are going through, seeing as he lived through the horror that was Katrina in New Orleans.
Hopefully, the NCAA will keep their nose out of this one.
