The Florida Gators have been enjoying an enormous amount of success this season under the direction of first-year head coach Jim McElwain. However, things might be taking a serious turn for the worse, as starting quarterback Will Grier may not play again this season.

After mediocrity the past few seasons, the Gators have returned to prominence early this season, even earning a top-10 ranking in the country. This loss of Grier, however, is devastating news to their national title hopes that now actually do exist.
Grier began the season splitting time with Treon Harris, but he quickly cemented himself as the starting man in Gainesville and has done a good job of leading this team thus far. He’s thrown for 1,204 yards with 10 touchdowns and just three interceptions, living up to the hype he received during his recruitment two years ago. Coming into his Florida career, people expected a lot from this young man and he was certainly delivering this year.
As more news of the Grier suspension becomes available, we will keep you updated.
Update: Grier is reportedly being suspended for PED use.
