The Chicago Cubs are causing to the NLCS, and Kyle Schwarber put an exclamation point on Game 4 with a monster home run that went over the Budweiser sign.
When the Chicago Cubs started this season back in April, it wasn’t that much fun to watch the team struggle against the St. Louis Cardinals. But they’ve turned things around in a huge way since then and are now cruising past their rivals to get to their first NLCS since the infamous Year of Bartman.
Another thing we didn’t think much about at the beginning of the season was rookie outfielder Kyle Schwarber, but he’s gone on to make a serious name for himself on the North Side this postseason. The rookie belted a huge home run in the Wild Card game against the Pirates, and added to his spectacular postseason with one of the longest home runs in Wrigley Field history on Tuesday night.
Just watch in awe:
Schwarber’s bomb was more than just a home run, it was an exclamation point on the postseason for the Cubs so far. They’re playing with house money being a year ahead of their rebuilding schedule and are having one of the most memorable postseasons in team history.
They’re still a series away from the World Series, but so far they’ve been the lovable team to watch and root for this year.
