DE. Oklahoma State. Emmanuel Ogbah. 12. player. 54. The Eagles invested heavily in their secondary in the offseason, notably bringing in Byron Maxwell who signed a six-year, $63 million contract. They’ve also brought in safeties Malcolm Jenkins and Walter Thurmond III.

So the Eagles could look to round out the defense by drafting Oklahoma State defensive end Emmanuel Ogbah. While he is a defensive end first and foremost, he could play outside linebacker as well, giving him the freedom to line up all over the line and offering the Eagles flexibility and versatility in Chip Kelly’s 3-4 defense.

You’d have to figure Kelly would love that kind of versatility in his player, if he is still around next season that is.

Ogbah is 6’4″ and 275 pounds, perhaps a bit lighter than the prototypical player at this position but he can make up for it with speed and power Ogbah has the ability to drive offensive lineman into the backfield, disrupt plays and handle double teams.

Inside our on the edge, Ogbah is the kind of disruptive defensive player who could transform the Eagles’ unit.

A player like Ogbah on the Eagles’ defensive front disrupting the play could help the Eagles revamped secondary succeed and take off.
