50. Robert Nkemdiche was the top overall prospect coming out of high school in 2013, and so far throughout his Ole Miss career, he has lived up to every bit of the hype that he was given for the most part. He’s one of those defensive players that when he is on the field, the offense is aware of where he is at all times.

Throughout his career with the Rebels, he’s tallied 72 tackles with 14.5 of those for loss with 4.5 sacks. So far in 2015, Nkemdiche has notched 17 of those tackles with 5.5 for loss and 1.5 sacks. He’s one of the main reasons that the Rebels have been so successful on the defensive side of the ball. Just go watch the Alabama tape to see the havoc that he can cause.

He can bring a presence to the Lions’ defensive line that is sorely needed at the moment. They need that terror presence out there once again, much like they had with Ndamukong Suh. If the ferocious defensive end can progress at the NFL level, then he will turn into just that for the Lions as they try to right the ship once again.

Putting it together starts with defense and the selection of Nkemdiche is a good place to start.
. DT. Ole Miss. Robert Nkemdiche. 1. player
