The Ole Miss Rebels are not having a good day on Saturday and things might have gotten worse with an injury to Robert Nkemdiche

Ole Miss is playing Memphis on Saturday, and so far in this one, things are not going the way they maybe had planned. Once thought of as the best team in the country, the Rebels are losing and are in danger of being shot down even further in the rankings. What might be worse, though, is what happened to the biggest star on the team, defensive end Robert Nkemdiche.

Now we all know that Ole Miss likes to play the defensive end on the offensive side of the ball from time to time, and in the second quarter of this one while they were actually ahead, they did just that. However, it didn’t end pretty.

On this play you’re about to see below, Nkemdiche suffered a concussion and has been ruled out the rest of the game.

Should the Rebels star player be out for a significant amount of time, that would be an even bigger blow to Ole Miss and their hopes in the SEC. They are still alive in the race, but they need all hands on deck.

As more become available on the injury to Nkemdiche, we will keep you updated.
