The Buffalo Bills lost to the Cincinnati Bengals on Sunday afternoon, allowing 34 points at Ralph Wilson Stadium. The defense was pathetic and after the game, outside linebacker Mario Williams was not pleased with his role in the unit.

Williams, who has been one of the best pass-rushers of his era since being the first-overall pick in 2006, called out head coach Rex Ryan for his game plan, according to Syracuse.com.

"“I think I probably set a record on dropping today, but that’s part of the scheme for us to go out and be put in a position to win,” Mario Williams said, via Syracuse.com. “Whatever’s called you have to go out and do it. … The three guys you said, including myself, a lot is put on our shoulders as far as the amount given out to players on this team as far as income. I would assume, those four guys, a lot is on their shoulders to go after the quarterback or stop the run, be disruptive. Like I say, if the call is three-man this or that, dropping, things like that, that’s the call.”"

The Bills were supposed to have a ridiculously good pass-rush this season with a front four of Kyle Williams, Marcell Dareus, Jerry Hughes and Mario Williams, but the unit has gotten precious little pressure. Buffalo is now 3-3 and sitting in third place of the AFC East. If the playoffs were to start today, the Bills would be outside of the picture. Of course, there are 10 weeks remaining for Buffalo to get the ship righted and make the playoffs for the first time since 1999.

In his career, Williams has amassed 93 sacks, including double-digit sacks in each of his first three seasons with the Bills. This year, Williams has two sacks thus far.
