The New England Patriots are leading the Indianapolis Colts, 27-21, and it is due in large part to All-Pro tight end Rob Gronkowski. The Patriots only targeted Gronkowski once in the first half, but quarterback Tom Brady looked his way twice on the opening drive of the third quarter, with both resulting in completions.

The second catch was on a crossing route, and Gronkowski bullied his way into the end zone for a 25-yard touchdown. Gronkowski ran untouched across the middle of the field before turning the corner and scooting inside the pylon.

Gronkowski is looking for his third-career 1,000-yard season, something he has amassed in both 2011 and 2014. The big man has dealt with plenty of injuries throughout his career, including forearm problems and a torn ACL.

Tonight, Brady has more than done his part – as expected – throwing for 278 yards and a pair of touchdowns with almost a full half to go. Brady did throw his first interception of the year in the first half, with Mike Adams picking him off on a deflection and ran unmolested into the end zone.

New England is trying to run its record to 5-0. Should the Patriots be able to do it, they would stay one game ahead of the New York Jets, who beat these Colts at Lucas Oil Stadium back in Week 2 on Monday Night Football.
