RB Duds

Eddie Lacy-Green Bay Packers: Lacy only managed three yards on his four carries against the Chargers.  He added two catches for 17 yards, but was upstaged by James Starks in every way.  If you own Lacy, you have to hope his struggles were due to lingering effects of his week 2 ankle injury which may heal up during the team’s bye week.

C.J. Anderson-Denver Broncos: Anderson was clearly behind Ronnie Hillman in the Broncos rushing attack getting just 13 carries to Hillman’s 20.  He did get some important yards in overtime, but he still only managed 41 yards on his 13 carries.  He added 25 useful yards on his four catches, but he looks like he’s losing his job.

Dion Lewis-New England Patriots: As his owners feared, Lewis was game planned out of the win over the Colts.  He ran for only 21 yards but had just four carries.  He did catch three passes for 18 yards, but was relatively quiet as LeGarrette Blount took the bulk of the work.

Melvin Gordon-San Diego Chargers: While Philip Rivers was piling up 500+ yards passing, the Chargers abandoned a run game that really only had one big play on the day.  Gordon had 29 yards on his seven carries, but 25 of those came on one run and he didn’t get targeted even once in the passing game.

Chris Johnson-Arizona Cardinals: Johnson struggled against the Steelers while the Cardinals had no trouble moving the ball through the air (although with only one TD). CJ?K finished with 40 yards on his 14 carries and added five yards by hauling in his only target.

Charcandrick West & Knile Davis-Kansas City Chiefs: The Chiefs backfield and really their whole offense was a mess.  West led the way but only had 33 yards on his nine carries, and Knile Davis fared no better only managing 13 yards on five carries. Each back had just one catch with Davis taking his for 12 yards and West only getting six.  Neither seized the job, and both looked like they should be on your fantasy football bench until they show something.
