The Philadelphia Eagles were able to get to 3-3 and take over first place in the NFC East on Monday Night Football with a 27-7 win over the New York Giants at Lincoln Financial Field. Philadelphia controlled the game over the final three quarters, shutting out New York and getting constant pressure on Eli Manning.

Sam Bradford had an erratic game, completing 24-of-38 passes for 280 yards with a touchdown and three interceptions. Bradford was supported though by a Giants team that also committed a trio of turnovers, allowing Philadelphia multiple chances to put the game away. New York dropped to 3-3 with the loss.

Highlights

Three Stars

1. DeMarco Murray

Murray had a slow start to the game but picked it up in the second half. The former Dallas Cowboys star was able to pound on a tired Giants defense to amass 109 yards and a touchdown on 22 carries. Murray’s 12-yard touchdown made the score 24-7, and basically put the contest out of reach.

2. Odell Beckham Jr.

Beckham looked like he was going to have a huge game in the first half, catching five passes in the initial quarter. Beckham also hauled in a touchdown on the opening possession, giving New York its only score of the game. The Pro Bowler finished the day with seven catches, 61 yards and the aforementioned score.

3. Riley Cooper

Cooper has been a major disappointment since signing his five-year contract before last season, but he came to play on primetime. Cooper only caught three passes, but he racked up 76 yards, including a 32-yard touchdown in the first quarter. Cooper was a consistent deep threat throughout the evening.

Odds

Philadelphia was a 3.5-point favorite and easily covered the spread over New York.
