A jewelry store locked out and called the cops on Bucks forward John Henson

Milwaukee Bucks big man John Henson was on the receiving end of some incredibly despicable behavior on Monday afternoon as he was going to shop for a watch. The 24-year-old went to Schwanke Kasten in Whitefish Bay, WI and was met with what he called “the most degrading and racially prejudice things” that he had ever experienced as he recounted the experience on Instagram:

The short of the story is that Henson went to the doors of the jewelry store and found that the employees had locked him out. When he rang the doorbell, they ran to the back and presumably called the police as two officer showed up shortly after. The officer then proceeded to run extensive background checks on the center and his new vehicle before ultimately demanding that the jewelry store let him inside.

Henson’s account of the events tell truly reprehensible example of racial profiling. To not even let him in the building and then call the cops on him just by looking at him as he was about to walk in is almost unfathomable in this day and age.

Good on Henson for not swallowing this story and instead making it public. This business should suffer consequences for that type of behavior and Henson telling his story is the first step in that actually happening.
