After posting a photo of three hideous Cleveland Cavaliers jerseys and saying the team was going to use one of them, Dan Gilbert revealed he was joking.

Cleveland Cavaliers owner Dan Gilbert must be an absolute blast on April Fools Day. Unfortunately, today isn’t April Fools Day and he had everyone sweating bullets that he was about to unveil the ugliest jersey in the history of all jerseys.

Earlier in the day, Gilbert put out this tweet saying that Cavaliers were going to unveil their jersey from one of these three designs.

There was immediate backlash as people could not comprehend how the Cavaliers could come up with such an ugly and terrible design for their new uniforms. People had thought Gilbert had gone mad and that team was going to be dressed up looking like a couch for some of their games.

Luckily for Gilbert, everyone bought it hook, line and sinker. After he drummed up all the madness, Gilbert revealed that it was all just a clever ruse that everyone bought. None of those would be the new jersey that the Cavaliers would wear and the new one would be unveiled later.

When it comes to pulling a fast one, Gilbert just did as good of a job of teasing these uniforms as he did when the Cavaliers managed to somehow snag several No. 1 overall picks in the draft. However that was real and the Cavaliers were able to use those picks in helping reform a superstar team once LeBron James returned to Cleveland.

Dan Gilbert is something else.
