Ben Roethlisberger’s interview with Stacey Dales got a little weird on Sunday.

Hey everyone, Stacey Dales had a chance to talk with Ben Roethlisberger before Sunday’s Steelers-Chiefs game. It was a pretty good spot. Big Ben was questionable up until the 11th hour, finally being ruled out for his fourth consecutive game. Dales lobbed up some softball questions. Just a nice primer for the upcoming contest. Easy peasy, right?

Not so fast, my friend. What say you, Trent Green?

Yup, Green definitely made it weird.

It’s been five years since Roethlisberger was alleged to have raped a woman in a bar bathroom down in Milledgeville, Georgia. But, much like Seth and Evan in Superbad, Trent Green doesn’t forget.

The following terms, in regards to Roethlisberger, will likely forever carry a negative connotation … meaning Green has plenty of material to work with in the booth.

  • Creeped on
  • Stalked
  • Pushed up against
  • Stalled
  • Forced entry

That’s just the way the cookie crumbles. Unfortunately for Dales, she was the sidepiece in Trent Green’s witty rape joke. Even more unfortunate is that we, the viewers, didn’t get video access to producers melting down in the truck or Greg Gumbel taking a swig from his flask knowing it was going to be an even longer game than expected. At least we have the Internet.
