The Cleveland Browns might as well not even try to tackle Todd Gurley

Rookie running back Todd Gurley’s return from an ACL injury that he suffered in college and his NFL debut with the St. Louis Rams was lackluster in Week 3. Gurley carried the ball only six times and amassed a meager nine yards on those carries. It’s safe to say that in his three games since he’s been doing just a bit better moving the ball.

Gurley erupted for 146 yards on 19 carries in Week 4 and 159 yards on 30 carries in Week 5 before the Rams’ bye last week. Now he’s back on the football field for St. Louis and making the Cleveland Browns look silly as they try and tackle him when he’s trying to get into the endzone:

That’s just incredible by Gurley. He shows the burst to get to the outside at an elite level, is decisive with choosing the right hole, and then goes ahead and breaks three tackles on his way to his second touchdown of the day after scoring his first career NFL touchdown two drives earlier.

Gurley now that he’s back healthy has been every bit as good as advertised and every bit worth the first-round draft pick that the Rams used on him this season. With skills like this, he could be a superstar in this league with a quickness.
