Remember that time Jim Bob Cooter climbed in a woman’s window and took off his pants?

The Detroit Lions promoted Jim Bob Cooter to offensive coordinator on Monday, a man who once climbed into a woman’s window and took of his pants.

Jim Bob Cooter is the new Detroit Lions offensive coordinator. He also once climbed into a woman’s window and proceeded to take off his pants and get into bed with her.

That’s not really as funny as it sounds, because while you’d expect this behavior out of someone named Jim Bob, that’s where the funny part ends. The NFL is full of people who don’t have a proper respect for other human beings, and while this isn’t a traditional domestic abuse situation, it’s still pretty messed up.

NFL buffs like Ian Rapoport believe that Cooter is an up and coming star on the coaching circuit.

Peyton Manning is also a fan of Cooter.

But the fact of the matter remains that he was arrested for climbing into a woman’s window, stripping down to his underwear and getting into bed with her.

While everyone is stroking Cooter for being a rising star on the coaching circuit, they’re conveniently skating over this horrifying thing he did:

"The warrant says Cooter climbed through woman’s window on Franklin Station Way, stripped down to his underwear and got into bed with the woman Saturday."

This can’t be something that gets skated over like it was nothing. We all love to get on hour high horses about how morally superior we are to some people in the NFL — looking at you Greg Hardy — but can’t pick and choose who we go after. No one is saying that Jim Bob is a bad person today, as this happened in 2009 and not last week.

But it happened — and that’ll never change.
