Cardinals safety Tyrann Mathieu can’t stop owning the Ravens on Monday Night Football

The Arizona Cardinals have been a defensive juggernaut under Bruce Arians in recent years. Part of that is because of Arians’ ability as a coach, but it’s also due to the elite talent on that side of the ball for Arizona like Patrick Peterson, Calais Campbell, and Tyrann Mathieu to name a few.

Mathieu was a one-man wrecking crew against the Baltimore Ravens in the early action of Monday Night Football, though.

Mathieu started his highlight reel for the evening when Joe Flacco was looking deep for Chris Givens. Mathieu not only hung with Givens on the deep route, but then made a perfect play on the ball to break up the pass and save what would’ve been a Ravens touchdown:

The man they call the “Honey Badger” wasn’t done there, though. Not long after, he read the play perfectly to burst into the backfield and absolutely wrecking Givens as the Ravens tried to make something happen on a reverse:

Just a hunch here, but I would say the Ravens might want to try another strategy other than testing Mathieu in this matchup. It kind of seems like he might have Baltimore’s number in primetime.
